  Setup Costs

To sign up for a home phone service with DCSI, you can use our online sign-up form, My.DCSI (existing customers only), or contact us via phone on 1300 66 55 75.

There are no setup costs or initial fees if you have an existing landline service and you transfer it to DCSI. For a new service, the setup cost will depend on your situation. Consult the table below.

>Transfer existing service$0.00

Your phone line is already up and running with another provider and you're transferring it to DCSI. Note, you'll need to fill out this additional form with your application.

Timeframe: 2 - 5 business days

>In-place activation$59.00

You have a working phone point and a technician is not required to visit your premises.

Timeframe: 2 - 5 business days

>Line activation and rewiring$125.00

A phone service has been at the premises in the past, but a technician is required to reconnect existing wiring.

Timeframe: 5 - 15 business days

>No previous phone line$299.00

There has not been a phone service at the premises before, regardless of whether there is cabling to your premises up to the first socket or not.

Timeframe: up to 20 business days

Allows you to receive another call when you're already on the line. You simply put the first caller on hold while you answer the second.

Lets you divert calls that come in to your DCSI Home Phone service to another number.

>Call BackIncluded

If you try to dial a number and it is engaged, you can use the call back feature and you will receive an automated call when the dialed line is available again.

Gives you the phone number of the last call you missed.

Lets you talk to two people at once on the one call.

  Optional Features

These features will be automatically transferred from your previous service where applicable, or can be activated on request. Additional charges may apply, as shown.

Gives you your own personalised answering service that takes calls when you can't.

>Calling Number Display$6.00/mth

When used with a compatible handset, this feature will display the phone number of the person calling you, excluding unlisted numbers and international callers.

>Dual Phone/Fax Line$6.00/mth

Gives you a second phone number on your existing line which can be used for a fax service. Compatible fax machine required.

>Silent Number5$3.00/mth

Prevents your number from being displayed when you make calls. Also excludes your phone number from public phone directories.

  Notes

  1. You must be connected to an on-net phone exchange. These are: Warragul, Drouin, Morwell, Sale, Traralgon, Bairnsdale, Moe, Belmont, Bendigo, Ballarat, Churchill, Geelong, North Geelong, Warrnambool, and Wendouree.
  2. Call charges apply.
  3. Call Return costs $0.35 per successful use.
  4. 3-Way Chat costs $0.55 per successful use; plus standard call charges to each connected party.
  5. Your number will still be disclosed if you dial emergency services (000) or an ISDN/dial-up ISP, and when sending a text message or using a network override code.
  6. DCSI cannot provide Priority Assistance on any home phone connection.
  7. Exceptional circumstances that may delay the provisioning of a new phone service include: damage to facilities by a third party, natural disasters and extreme weather conditions that cause widespread service outages, and delays obtaining land access or caused by equipment suppliers/manufacturers or the customer.
