500 lots no buyers premium gst or reserves.Local auctioneers Peter Williams and Doug Peachey together with Vision Australia staff and volunteers donate their time to ensure this is a pleasant day out.
All money received helps offset the $25,000 annual cost of providing this valuable service.
About Vision Australia Radio:
Vision Australia a non profit organisation provides a radio service from Melbourne.The programs provide access to print media.The audience includes those with vision loss,literacy issues and isolation. It is also a convenient way to hear the news and magazines, interviews and other sources of information, allowing you to keep up with current events.
The Gippsland studio re broadcasts the Melbourne signal on 93.6 FM. and also provides local content. With the assistance of seventy local volunteers we read all the local papers and conduct interviews with local people and organisations. The broadcast is 24/7 with local content each weekday between 1-2 pm and also on Tuesday and Friday between 3-4 pm.
In collaboration with other community stations we also broadcast from Morwell (Gipps FM)each Friday between 11-12am and soon from Inverloch (3mfm) on Tuesday between 6-7pm. We are currently finalising arrangements to commence a program in Bairnsdale (Reg fm).
