Email Settings..

Setting up your email programs.
The following steps will explain how to set some common email clients up, with the DCSI email settings.

Windows
Windows Live Mail 2011 | Windows Mail | Microsoft Outlook 2007
Thunderbird (Version 2) | Thunderbird (Version 3) | Outlook Express (Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP)

Windows Live Mail 2011

From the first screen click "Accounts"
If this is the fist time you have ran the program, you may have a different screen,
in which case see step 3.


click the "Email +" button.


Fill out your account details:
Email address: Your email address.
Password: Your email account password.
Display name: The name you would like others to see when you email them.

Make sure you tick the boxes "Remember this password" and "Manually configure server settings"

Click next


Fill out incoming server settings:
Server type: POP
Server address: incoming.dcsi.net.au
Port: 110
Authenticate using: Clear text
Logon user name: Your email address.

Outgoing Server Information:
Server address: outgoing.dcsi.net.au
Port: 25

Make sure none of the boxes are ticked on this page, then click next


Just click finish, you're all done.

Windows Mail

Click on Tools, then Accounts.


Click on Add...


Select E-mail Account, then click on Next.


Type in your name, then click on Next.


Type in your email address, then click on Next.


Type in mail.dcsi.net.au in both servers, then click on Next.


Type in your password, then click on Next and then Finish.

Microsoft Outlook 2007

Click on Tools then Account Settings.


Click on New, under the email tab.


Type in your name, email address and password, then click on
Manually configure server setiings


Select Internet Email, then click on Next.


Type in the correct details, then click on Next and then Finish.

Mozilla Thunderbird Version 2

Click on Tools, the Account Settings.


Click on Add Account.


Choose Email Account and click on Next.


Type in your name and email address, then click on Next.


Type in mail.dcsi.net.au for the incoming server, then click on Next.


Type in the account name (should already be there), then click on Next.


Accept the default in this screen, click on Next, then Finish.

Mozilla Thunderbird Version 3

Click on "Tools", then "Account Settings".


Click on "Account Actions" then "Add Account".


Enter your account details:
Your name: The name you want others to see when you send an email.
Email address: Your email address.
Password: Your email account password

Tick the box "Remember password" then, click continue.


Choose POP3, then click "Manual config"


Fill out server settings:
Incoming:
Server type: POP3
Server hostname: incoming.dcsi.net.au
Port: 110
SSL: none
Authentication: normal password

Outgoing:
Server type: SMTP
Server hostname: outgoing.dcsi.net.au (This looks like a pulldown menu, but you *CAN* edit it)
Port: 25
SSL: none
Authentication: No Authentication

Then click "Create Account", *DO NOT CLICK Re-Test!!!*.
Tick the box "I understand the risks." and click "Create Account"


Click "OK" and you are done.

Outlook Express

Click on Setup a Mail Account.


Type in your name and click Next.


Type in your email address and click Next.


Type in mail.dcsi.net.au as the incoming and outgoing server.


Type in your password and click Next, then click on Finish.

Mac Mail

When you first run the Mac Mail App, you will get this screen.
For subsequent address, go to Mail menu, preferences, accounts and then click "+".

Fill out the form:
Full Name: The name you want people to see when you send mail to them.
Email Address: Your email address.

Then click "Continue".


Fill out the "Incoming Mail Server" Form:
Account Type: POP
Description: Anything you like, Just something to remember the account by.
Incoming Mail Server: incoming.dcsi.net.au
User Name: Your email address.
Password: Your email account password

Then click "Continue".


Fill out the "Outgoing Mail Server" Form:
Description: Anything you like, Just something to remember the account by.
Outgoing Mail Server: outgoing.dcsi.net.au

Leave the rest of the form blank and click "Continue".


Make sure the box "Take account online" is ticked, And click Create.

Your email is now set up.
iPhone
Before attempting to set up mail on your iPhone, Please call DCSI and request your email account to be upgraded for "Roaming".


Press the "Settings" button.


Press the "Mail, Contact, Calendars" button.


Press the "Add Account..." button.


Press the "Other" button.


Press "Add Mail Account" button.


Fill account details:
Name: The name you want email recipients to see.
Address: Your email address.
Password: Your email account password.
Description: Anything you like, it will only be visible to you.


Fill server details:

Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: incoming.dcsi.net.au
User Name: Your email address.
Password: Your email account password.

Outgoing Mail Server:
Host Name: aoutgoing.dcsi.net.au
User Name: Your email address.
Password: Your email account password.

Then click "Next" Your iPhone will now say "Verifying" at the top, This can take up to 60 seconds.


If all is successful, you should see a screen like this.
If there are any errors, Confirm spelling and try again.


Select Mail on, But leave notes off, then click save.


To verify you can send and recieve, just press the Mail App Button.

Android
Before attempting to set up mail on your Android phone, Please call DCSI and request your email account to be upgraded for "Roaming".


Press the "Email" button.


Enter your email address & Password.
Ensure "Set as premium account(POP/IMAP) is NOT ticked" Press "Manual Setup".


Select "IMAP account".


Fill incoming server settings:
User name: Your email address.
Password: Your email account password.
IMAP server: incoming.dcsi.net.au
Security Type: SSL
Port: 993

Then click next.


Fill outgoing server settings.
SMTP server: aoutgoing.dcsi.net.au
Security type: SSL
Port: 465
Tick the box "Require sign-in"
User name: Your email address.
Password: Your email account password.

Then click next.


Select Email check frequency.
This is a personal preference of how often you want your phone to check for email.
The default is never, which will only check email when enter the mail program.
*NOTE* this setting can cause your phone to use more data.

Give this account a name: this will allow you to easily find this particular account should you have multiple email accounts on your phone.
Your Name: The name you want your email recipients to see.
Click done, and you're finished
